Vroom vroom.
He revs the engine and with a quiet roar he leaves the driveway.
White helmet easily visible. Slender legs wrapped snugly in black leather. Kevlar vest with bright red accents. He turns to wave and disappears down the road.
Sadness and worry vie for a moment for my attention. Nope, can’t be having that, he’ll be fine and I have the house to myself. Junk food, late nights, and the only exercise needed is surfing the internet. No shaving, matches the NHL beards of the moment.
Vroom vroom.
He’s home! And life returns to what’s normal and best.
