Title: My Pet

I find him under the bed. He’s curled up next to one of the boxes we have hiding under there, deep in slumber I think. I almost missed him, which is surprising because he’s pretty large. I blow gently in his direction and am rewarded by him skittering out from beneath the bed, leaping into the air. I give chase, watching him dart into the ray of sunshine that is streaming in the windows, stopping for a moment to stare out upon the world beyond. My eyes return to my pet, my dust bunny. God, I hate cleaning.
