The Uniform

by Rolf

Normal, everyday people.  It doesn’t matter if they’re male or female.  Black or white.  Fathers or daughters.  It doesn’t matter where they came from, how they’re raised or whether they’re rich or poor.  Some will be tall, others short.  Some will come in with Master’s degrees, some without even a high school diploma.   They may live in the United States.  They may be stationed on the other side of the world.  On land or on sea.
It doesn’t matter though, because when they put on a uniform of the US Military, they all become a hero.  Remember your heroes today.

Oh, very touching. Thank you, Rolf, for this drabble and the support for our troops. They all are heros. My thoughts are with all those serving right now.

Most of the artwork on the blog is by Canadian artist Steve Walker.

Rolf and Ranger’s Next Book will be called The Mary Ellen Carter. The Mary Ellen Carter and other works in progress can be read at either the Falls Chance Ranch Discussion Group or the Falls Chance Forum before they are posted here at the blog. So come and talk to the authors and be a part of a work in progress.
